Kristie Koch

MA of ABA, BCBA, Behavior Coach & Owner of School-Based Behavior Consultation LLC

Kristie Koch started working in human services in 2002. Over the years, she has served women and infants at the WIC agency, people seeking recovery from substance abuse, at-risk youth as a life coach, and people with disabilities through the Indiana Medicaid Waiver program. After learning about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Kristie recognized it offered something that had been lacking in her previous training - practical and effective methods to support behavioral changes, which enhance independence and improve quality of life.

While working as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in an ABA clinic, Kristie realized she has a passion to help those with ASD learn skills that improve quality of life and allow them to become more independent! As she pursued her Master’s Degree in ABA at Ball State University, Kristie worked alongside ABA instructors in coordinating a peer mentoring program. That experience afforded Kristie a unique opportunity to learn from those who shape and guide ABA practices and from the adults with ASD she supported. She carries the insights gained into all her work with students!

In 2019, Kristie started working in Greenfield Central Schools, providing district-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), she also provides ABA services, including behavioral reduction interventions and skill building instructional programs. In May of 2020, Kristie opened School-Based Behavior Consultation LLC, offering behavior consultation services for K-12 schools, as well as in-home behavior support. Her greatest occupational goal is to support students in developing the skills needed to advocate for themselves and pursue their dreams!

When Kristie is not working, she loves being with her husband, Samuel, and their four sons! She is an active member in her church and enjoys gardening, nature, vacations, Christmas music, and gluten free baking!
